It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime
What better place than here, what better time than now?

Twitter was a shitshow before Musk came and Musked it up.

y'know this newgrounds thing sounds kinda cool and awesome

I also think it's worth pointing how NG was always this underground site where artists are encourajed to make cool content and is moderated by humans, while Twitter is a mainstream social media app moderated by algorithms and its layout was always limited and barely helpful for artists.
Twitter already had problems before Elon got there and had too much impact on stuff like real world politics, while making people angrier and stupid.
Newgrounds is specifically for people that want to create "real" content or at least see others create, while also enabling a more open mind on stuff.
Specially when Tumblr banned porn in 2018: Twitter attracted the crazy moralistic attitudes people had while Newgrounds welcomed new kinds of artists whose content just had different natures compared to what you'd previously see on NG, but that variety might as well be something to celeberate.
Modern internet suffers from having too many people using very few sites, so the idea of people discovering other sites exist seems great.
Even better if the trash mainstream sites act like "cages" for crazy people while those who want to do better things use the better sites.

Thank you.

I do hope artists migrate here like what happened with Tumblr so the site can get more eyes and revenue, keep it afloat a little better and all that. But part of me is worried it might change the culture a little bit. Tumblr, for whatever complaints you might've had with it, was primarily a site where nerds and art-kids of various persuasions and fandoms came together to draw and joke about their favorite shit. Twitter was... just kinda miserable.

Granted, I don't think the types that shouted "This person that disagrees with me should be tossed in a wood-chipper" are gonna suddenly pop up in the threads and comments, but it's a fair worry for any 'toxic' site. At least all the bad is contained over there. Never know what happens if it tries leaving.
